📋 Description

• Oversee and manage large-scale construction projects during the preconstruction phase • Assist in planning, implementing, and delivering new business initiatives and preconstruction services • Plan and monitor strategic direction for projects • Develop and maintain customer and design team relationships • Deliver preconstruction services and develop trusted-advisor relationships with owners, general contractors, design teams, and project influencers • Track and manage project scope, budget trends, and the transition between estimating and project management • Establish accurate project baseline budgets • Implement preconstruction strategies and expand preconstruction processes and best practices • Identify and document construction plans, including prefabrication solutions, fabrication strategies, schedules, sequencing, logistics, work packages, and productivity tracking • Direct prefabrication design efforts while ensuring constructability • Advance tools and IT solutions for construction efforts • Develop budgeting and report-out tools for client communications • Create dashboards and automate preconstruction reporting • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports on preconstruction activities and progress • Support business development proposals and pursuits • Develop conceptual estimates and submit proposals • Manage financial aspects of proposals and contracts • Monitor construction activities, meet with clients, provide feedback, and assist with corrective action plans • Manage customer accounts and project sales opportunities • Develop and implement project-specific sales strategies • Foster Harris culture, safety, collaboration, teamwork, transparency, planning, early engagement, and accountability • Represent Harris at marketing and networking events, project meetings, planning sessions, and design meetings • Facilitate operational consistency through project setup and planning • Perform other project-specific tasks and duties as directed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred • 8+ years industry knowledge of mechanical and plumbing • 6+ years knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts • 8+ years proficient understanding of engineering and technology including principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment • 6+ previous success in delivering pre-construction services • 5+ customer service experience • Advanced knowledge of plumbing, piping, or sheet metal systems • Advanced knowledge of estimating • Advanced knowledge of construction project management • Open to 25%-50% Travel
