📋 Description

• Own and drive all facets of Research & Development for Harris School Solutions' FINS growth products • Lead continuous product research and development to improve existing products and expand web and cloud capabilities on a standard technical platform • Embed AI into products and engineering practices, moving from experimentation to AI at scale • Lead a team of 40+ developers and managers across multiple offices and a remote US workforce • Translate business goals and product requirements into actionable development plans and prioritized AI roadmaps • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget using AI-assisted development, testing, and documentation • Provide strategic direction and technical input into business unit strategy • Drive adoption and standards for AI developer tooling and measure productivity and quality results • Lead delivery of AI-enabled capabilities for K12 finance, HR, and administrative workflows • Establish responsible AI practices covering data privacy, student-data protections, model governance, human-in-the-loop controls, and customer communication • Communicate strategy, progress, issues, priorities, and roadblocks to executives and senior management • Manage onsite and offshore development teams • Foster collaboration across business units and share AI learnings and reusable components • Provide technical direction for product development and support services • Evaluate organizational structure, technology, and engineering practices and implement improvements • Track industry trends and emerging technologies, especially AI • Interview, hire, coach, develop, assign, and manage employee performance • Manage department budgets and promote ongoing professional growth

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of management experience leading software development teams • P&L experience • Portfolio management of multiple products and tech stacks • Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted development tools • Demonstrated experience delivering AI or machine-learning capabilities into production software • Agile expertise • Experience in public sector or K12 solutions • SaaS deployments and infrastructure experience • Experience with AI platforms, LLM integration, or building agentic and copilot-style experiences into enterprise applications • Track record of establishing responsible AI or data governance practices in a regulated environment • Innovative examples of driving measurable value in products
