📋 Description

• Source, vet, and manage relationships with motor carriers (trucking companies) to transport freight • Identify, vet, and onboard new motor carriers to support capacity needs, often using transportation management systems (TMS) • Negotiate freight rates and contracts with carriers to ensure cost-effective, competitive pricing • Address and resolve carrier-performance problems, including missed appointments, tracking issues, and equipment failures • Build and maintain long-term carrier partnerships to ensure consistent, reliable capacity • Manage compliance with carrier safety protocols, insurance requirements, and contractual obligations • Resolve operational, billing, and service issues

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ previous experience in freight brokerage, carrier sales, or logistics coordination • Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities • Understanding of transportation modes, rate structures, and supply chain network design • Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) • Familiarity with CRM software • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
