📋 Description

• Provide cybersecurity and risk assessment services, subject matter expert support, and solutions for HBS customers • Deliver risk and security assessments, remediation and mitigation recommendations, strategic roadmaps, privacy and security policies, procedures and programs, awareness and education, and SME support • Serve as the virtual Chief Information Security Officer for multiple organizations • Collaborate with sales and marketing to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions addressing client needs • Identify gaps in clients’ risk and security programs and design solutions • Support identification, development, and implementation of technological and organizational controls • Lead security remediation and mitigation services • Manage large projects, including planning, task leadership, client status reporting, and presentation of results • Provide privacy and security solution assistance, review, validation, and optimization throughout the sales process • Maintain knowledge of privacy and security regulations, standards, best practices, enforcement trends, guidelines, and state-specific rules • Prepare articles, whitepapers, and blogs and speak at industry conferences • Conduct risk assessments and guide process improvements, policies, procedures, and solution development • Present educational and information sessions • Develop information security programs and provide strategic client guidance as vCISO • Build and develop client relationships • Improve customer-facing documentation and cybersecurity products and services • Attain and maintain relevant cybersecurity and risk certifications • Bill a minimum of 1,350 hours, or equivalent vCISO work, per fiscal year, prorated by start date

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience • 5+ years implementing Cybersecurity Programs • 3+ years implementing Compliance and Governance Programs • CISSP or other current industry standard certifications in areas of security expertise • Significant experience as a security consultant, analyst, engineer, system administrator, IT lead, or similar role focused on information security responsibilities • Proven experience recommending and delivering cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management services • Ability to identify and evaluate risk to IT systems and associated business processes and communicate risks to management • Demonstrated experience with regulatory/compliance requirements (e.g., PCI, HIPAA/HITRUST, SOX, FISMA) • Demonstrated experience with information security frameworks and controls (e.g., NIST, ISO, CIS) • Demonstrated experience reviewing and recommending appropriate technical, administrative, and physical controls • Demonstrated experience selecting and implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategies • Ability to develop policies, standards, and baseline configurations • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills • Ability to manage project deliverables and deadlines • Ability to provide superior customer service via phone and email • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills • Strong listening and presentation skills • Ability to communicate clearly with co-workers, management, clients, and vendors • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively • Outcome-focused mindset • Strong prioritization skills • Team-player attitude • Professional attitude and respectful demeanor
