📋 Description

• Write and lead activities associated with complex Requests for Proposals (RFPs) under strict deadlines • Participate in resolving issues or concerns associated with the RFP process and ensure follow-through to resolution • Coordinate assigned projects independently according to detailed customer specifications • Assist internal departments with pricing proposals, standard program proposals and ad hoc documents supporting the sales cycle • Support the Proposal Content Administrator in developing and maintaining proposal-ready response information and materials • Write, edit, organize and package RFP responses in compliance with client requirements • Support sales and account management staff with questions regarding products, processes and administrative policies • Keep current with program, technical, product and service enhancements or changes • Manage multiple projects simultaneously • Communicate with Subject Matter Experts to answer client questions and accurately record new information in proposals • Interact with technical, executive and other organizational staff • Coordinate proposal kick-off meetings and ensure participants understand their roles and responsibilities • Communicate effectively on unfamiliar topics to elicit technical and program information needed to answer client questions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or related field and 3 years of proposal management experience specifically in the national/major or public sector OR 7 years of proposal writing experience • Demonstrated experience leading complex RFPs for large, national employer groups • Proficiency in quickly reviewing and analyzing proposal solicitations and related documents to extract pertinent information • Experience supporting highly customized proposal responses tailored to the client • Strong written and oral interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and cross-functionally • Ability to autonomously lead the proposal process from beginning to end while managing multiple RFPs/projects simultaneously • PC skills and experience with Microsoft products • Verbal and written communication skills to complete Responses for Proposals, coordinate activities with many departments, and incorporate layman terms in proposals • Demonstrated project management, organizing, planning and scheduling skills • Demonstrated creative and business writing skills • Preferred: experience and skills with proposal automation software such as Qorus, Responsive or Qvidian • Preferred: proposal writing experience in the commercial, healthcare industry
