📋 Description

• Provide leadership and support across a wide variety of legal and business needs at a rapidly growing, dynamic startup • Partner with internal stakeholders to build efficient commercial and compliance processes, including playbooks, templates, self-help workflows, and document management systems • Negotiate partnership agreements, data agreements, MSAs, BAAs, and technology licensing agreements in the technology, digital health, and healthcare space • Undertake special projects and investigations to enable new business growth • Serve as a trusted legal advisor while identifying and mitigating legal risks among a distributed workforce • Monitor relevant industry trends, laws, and regulations to provide sound compliance advice • Responsibly manage outside counsel

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial, technology/IP transactional, or regulatory experience • Experience in a premier law firm setting • In-house healthcare, medical devices, or digital health experience preferred • Strong organization and project management skills • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in an entrepreneurial, dynamic environment • Experience drafting and negotiating legal documents of varying complexity • Strong judgment in identifying risks and developing solutions aligned with commercial goals • Significant exposure to HIPAA, FDA, FTC, healthcare compliance, and intellectual property issues in digital health • Ability to work across diverse legal and business needs • Demonstrated ability to rapidly absorb and internalize new information and processes • Excellent oral and written communication skills in a distributed environment • JD from an accredited U.S. law school • Licensed in good standing with a state bar
