📋 Description

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits for behavioral health services • Review coverage details, benefits, copays, deductibles, and authorization requirements • Assist with claim rejections and denials • Follow up on outstanding insurance and claims-related issues • Maintain accurate insurance and patient records • Schedule and manage patient appointments • Assist with patient intake and administrative paperwork • Respond to patient inquiries by phone, email, or other communication channels • Maintain an organized patient scheduling process • Provide professional patient support while maintaining confidentiality • Prepare concise session summaries for documentation • Enter or format session summaries for the VA/provider to add to the EHR • Ensure documentation is organized, accurate, and timely • Follow documentation and privacy procedures • Contact local healthcare offices and practices to introduce the practice and coordinate lunch-and-learn opportunities • Follow up with offices and maintain outreach records • Coordinate calendars and schedules for meetings and events • Assist with basic marketing and administrative tasks • Maintain calendars and coordinate appointments • Assist with personal assistant and administrative tasks as assigned • Support day-to-day organization and follow-up

🎯 Requirements

• Previous experience in healthcare administration, behavioral health, medical billing, insurance verification, or a similar role • Experience verifying insurance benefits and handling claim issues is strongly preferred • Comfortable working with sensitive and confidential patient information • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Excellent written and verbal English communication • Comfortable communicating with patients, healthcare offices, and insurance companies • Able to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks independently • Experience with EHR/EMR systems is preferred • Scribing or medical documentation • Reliable internet connection and a suitable work-from-home setup • Minimum 50 Mbps upload and download internet speed • Verified backup internet connection; mobile phone hotspots are not acceptable • Backup power source required, such as a UPS or generator • Quiet, professional workspace suitable for voice work • Noise-canceling headset required • Reliable computer capable of running software systems and softphone simultaneously • Windows 11 or the most recent Apple OS / Update
