📋 Description

• Coordinate, oversee, and optimize the flow of coded medical record information for accurate billing and reimbursement across hospital and ambulatory sites • Review surgical coding submissions and manage denials to maximize revenue capture and compliance • Liaise between coding operations and the broader reimbursement process • Design and deliver educational programs to improve documentation practices and coding quality • Mentor and support providers and coding staff • Assess and evaluate educational initiatives for measurable improvements in data quality and departmental performance

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required • Associates Degree in Healthcare related field, Medical Records Sciences, or Business/Healthcare administration or five (5) years coding experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement • Additional specialty coding certification or two (2) years of specialty coding experience required • Thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, disease processes, medical terminology, pharmacology, and coding systems • Five (5) years of specialty coding experience preferred
