📋 Description

• Support the Bank’s daily, monthly, and annual accounting functions • Prepare and maintain monthly general ledger account reconciliations • Investigate and resolve reconciling items and discrepancies • Reconcile cash accounts, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and other balance sheet accounts • Maintain supporting documentation according to Bank policies and audit requirements • Assist with month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries • Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules • Support budget preparation, variance analysis, system upgrades, process improvements, and special projects • Prepare and maintain reports for pledged and collateralized loans • Monitor and reconcile collateral loan balances and related general ledger accounts • Assist with collateral reporting for funding sources and correspondent relationships • Coordinate with Lending, Operations, and Treasury personnel on collateral records • Support analysis of collateral availability and borrowing capacity • Serve as backup for the Financial Reporting Specialist • Assist with monthly financial statements, management reports, Call Reports, regulatory reporting, and external reporting • Prepare audit schedules, supporting analyses, and documentation for audits and examinations • Assist with federal, state, and other tax-related schedules and filings • Process bi-weekly payroll and review payroll data • Manage payroll tax accounts and resolve Paylocity tax notices, filing issues, and agency inquiries • Process garnishments, levies, and employee deductions • Reconcile payroll entries, accruals, liabilities, bank disbursements, and general ledger accounts • Support year-end payroll reporting, including W-2s and 1099s • Assist with internal audits, external financial statement audits, and regulatory examinations • Support internal control testing and track audit follow-up items • Support daily lock desk operations, including rate lock registration, extensions, relocks, and exception processing • Collaborate with lending, operations, and capital markets teams on lock-related issues and secondary market delivery • Maintain effective departmental relationships and workflows • Identify automation opportunities and provide training as needed • Support Bank efficiency, compliance, security, and organizational goals • Perform additional duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred • Two or more years of accounting, payroll, banking, or finance experience preferred • Bank or related industry experience preferred • Experience with payroll processing and payroll tax reporting preferred • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently • High level of accuracy in a fast-paced community banking environment • Responsible for compliance with applicable laws and regulations • Participates in required BSA training and demonstrates knowledge of BSA relevant to job responsibilities • Maintains confidentiality of employee payroll, compensation, and tax information
