📋 Description

• Conduct personal and area air monitoring and sampling for chemical vapors, dusts, mists, and other airborne contaminants • Perform noise dosimetry, sound level measurements, heat stress monitoring, ventilation assessments, and ergonomic evaluations • Utilize, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial hygiene sampling equipment and direct-reading instruments • Identify occupational health hazards, verify exposure controls, and support practical recommendations with operations, maintenance, engineering, and EHS teams • Support industrial hygiene activities during maintenance outages, catalyst changeouts, vessel entry activities, contractor-intensive projects, and other non-routine work • Maintain exposure monitoring databases • Prepare employee exposure notifications, industrial hygiene records, monitoring reports, and regulatory documentation • Support respiratory protection, hearing conservation, heat stress prevention, hazard communication, medical surveillance, training, and exposure-related incident investigations • Conduct inspections, exposure assessments, and occupational health evaluations across manufacturing facilities, laboratories, warehouses, terminals, and outdoor process areas • Travel to manufacturing and research facilities throughout North America and internationally

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field • 2–5 years of experience in industrial hygiene, occupational health, or EHS in a manufacturing environment preferred • Industrial chemical industry or oil and gas refinery experience preferred • Combination of formal health and safety training will be considered • Experience using industrial hygiene sampling equipment and direct-reading instrumentation preferred • Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA regulations and exposure limits, including OSHA PELs and ACGIH TLVs • Willingness to obtain or actively pursue CIH designation • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and be self-directed at times • Ability to work around process equipment, noise, heat, confined spaces, and chemical handling activities • Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators • Working knowledge of respiratory protection, hearing conservation, heat stress prevention, hazard communication, and medical surveillance programs • Ability to communicate monitoring results, field observations, and practical control recommendations • Effective written and verbal communication skills • At least 18 years of age • Successful completion of a drug test and background investigation • Authorization for periodic background checks as required by CFATS or other regulatory agencies
