📋 Description

• Maintain and repair light construction equipment, including skid steers, chippers, trenchers, and mini-excavators, at Home Depot stores and nearby customer job sites • Make routine visits to stores to inspect equipment, document unit status, perform preventive maintenance, and complete maintenance and repair work orders • Train Home Depot store associates and customers in proper equipment operation and large equipment operating procedures • Adhere to equipment safety requirements, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations • Maintain Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) certifications • Maintain accurate parts inventory in the vehicle or shop location • Maintain fleet inventory and transfer equipment between locations • Maintain vehicle compliance with company, federal, and driver performance standards • Deploy new equipment to store locations, perform PDIs, deliver equipment, and train store associates • Inspect equipment for rental readiness, safe operation, and store appearance standards • Perform minor equipment repairs • Respond to service calls and order parts for maintenance and repairs • Use the company technology platform to document labor, parts, and all work performed • Assist with equipment deliveries and pick-ups as required • Receive regional direction when planning and aligning short- and long-term goals • Report to the Regional Field Operations Manager • Perform other tasks assigned by the leader

🎯 Requirements

• Must be twenty-one years of age or older • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States • Must meet DOT medical certification requirements • Required vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, plus ability to adjust focus • Requires significant physical ability, including lifting, prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, crawling underneath equipment, climbing on equipment, reaching, and stretching • Ability to work at heights occasionally • Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with internal and external customers • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • 1 or more years of experience servicing construction equipment, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor mechanical repairs • Light construction equipment maintenance knowledge and/or skills, including small engines and hydraulics • Ability to read and understand technical repair and parts manuals covering mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and other equipment components • Experience, ability, and desire to provide superior customer service • Valid driver's license • Familiarity with inventory management • Working knowledge of handheld technology, including smartphone, laptop, and tablet • Ability to work effectively with different personality types and all levels of associates • Ability to work independently • Ability to operate in extreme outdoor working conditions • Ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances, including weather and traffic • Minimum education: associate's degree or equivalent degree in a related field • Minimum of 3 years of work experience
