📋 Description

• Guides business architecture design and adoption across multiple portfolios, product teams, and principal architects • Accelerates decision speed and investment quality through domain expertise, architectural leadership, and communication of standards and reusable patterns • Defines and stewards the connective model tying customer and associate journeys, value streams, business capabilities, and end-to-end processes to solutions, applications, and data • Engages principal architects, product managers, and business partners to foster shared language, model literacy, and adoption of enterprise standards • Interfaces with third-party vendors to evaluate capability coverage, identify investment overlap, and drive interoperability and data-sharing fit • Supports 4–6 portfolios or capability domains • Leads portfolio-level Principal meetings for alignment, consistency, and knowledge sharing • Creates reusable foundational code elements and develops proofs of concept with new technologies • Tracks cloud-resource usage and drives cost-reduction opportunities • Acts as an escalation point for complex challenges, high-priority issues, and outages • Presents at and attends conferences and applies new technologies and concepts • Provides leadership, mentoring, and coaching to direct reports • Conducts annual and mid-year reviews and provides performance feedback • Attracts, retains, develops, and motivates talent • Defines technology solutions with a Distinguished Engineer and influences technology roadmaps • Removes roadblocks across large cross-functional projects and drives thought leadership and innovation • Fields questions from project, product, and support teams • Resolves technology disputes across local teams • Works with vendors to implement software feature enhancements • Evangelizes successful tooling and technology usage • Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time • Reports to various individuals and has 4–6 direct reports

🎯 Requirements

• Must be eighteen years of age or older • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States • Expertise in at least two technologies used by THD IT • Experience with common business processes used in the retail industry • Experience in Agile/Lean development environments • 7 years of relevant work experience • Bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job • Deep fluency in business architecture disciplines: capability modeling, value stream mapping, journey mapping, and end-to-end process decomposition • Understanding of how business architecture maps to application and data architecture • Ability to influence without authority across business, product, and engineering leadership • Experience with EA and process tooling, such as LeanIX and Signavio • Comfort working with underlying data through APIs, queries, or automation • Strong written communication skills • Experience evaluating vendor and SaaS solutions against enterprise capability and integration standards • One field of expertise should include a programming language • Capable of understanding complicated systems quickly • Mastery in assigned domains • Active participation in or leadership of professional groups affiliated with specific domains
