📋 Description

• Draft, prepare, submit, and coordinate regulatory filings and approvals of insurance policy forms with State Departments of Insurance • Participate in product approval processes, including state-specific policy form revisions, filing requirements, and regulatory approvals • Monitor filing activity and coordinate follow-up to support timely product approvals • Prepare and submit routine state and federal compliance reports • Maintain regulatory documentation and manage the Compliance Document Retention database • Research, interpret, and apply state insurance laws, regulations, statutes, and regulatory bulletins • Review policy forms and related documentation for regulatory compliance • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and identify impacts on products and business practices • Conduct legal and regulatory research using Wolters Kluwer INSource and other approved resources • Compile legal surveys and regulatory research summaries • Participate in new product development and product enhancement initiatives • Collaborate with Product Development and other business areas to implement required product changes • Communicate regulatory updates, product changes, and compliance requirements to internal stakeholders • Compile product materials for state payroll vendors and other business partners • Respond to product compliance questions from employees and internal departments • Partner with Marketing to develop and review advertising materials • Evaluate marketing and advertising content for legal, regulatory, and company-standard compliance • Identify errors, misleading statements, or regulatory concerns and recommend revisions • Maintain compliance records and filing documentation • Manage multiple assignments and deadlines • Improve regulatory filing processes, documentation, and operational efficiency • Assist the Compliance Director with special projects and compliance initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, paralegal degree, or equivalent relevant professional experience • Strong ability to research, understand, interpret, and apply insurance laws, statutes, regulations, and regulatory bulletins • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to accuracy • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently and collaboratively • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint • Proficiency with the System for Electronic Rates & Forms Filing (SERFF) • Ability to conduct legal and regulatory research using online resources and INSource • 2+ years of insurance industry experience preferred • Previous experience in insurance product compliance, regulatory filings, product development, or a related area preferred • Experience reviewing insurance policy forms, advertising materials, or regulatory documentation preferred • Insurance-related professional development programs or designations preferred, including ACS, ALMI, FLMI, and AIRC
