📋 Description

• Lead and develop the Webapp and AI Attack engineering teams • Set ownership, goals, expectations, strategy, and roadmap across the portfolio • Build leadership structures and hire, coach, and develop managers, technical leaders, and senior individual contributors • Establish operating mechanisms for visibility into outcomes, progress, capacity, quality, dependencies, and risks • Own organizational health, talent planning, career development, feedback, accountability, and succession planning • Foster an inclusive and psychologically safe environment • Direct NodeZero’s web application attack portfolio, including discovery, crawling, browser automation, authentication, session handling, and attack coverage • Improve mapping of pages, forms, APIs, parameters, and authentication surfaces across modern applications • Set strategy for safe, reliable, repeatable AI/LLM and agentic-system attack capabilities • Guide assessment of AI applications and infrastructure, including trust boundaries, permissions, tool use, data sources, model serving, retrieval architectures, and enterprise deployments • Productize attack classes such as prompt injection, unsafe tool use, and AI supply-chain or deployment risks • Partner with Product, Engineering, Platform, and customer-facing teams to translate opportunities into plans • Drive complex cross-team initiatives from planning through production • Evaluate architecture, system health, and engineering quality • Ensure practices across design, implementation, testing, release, monitoring, incident response, and production learning • Use customer feedback and engineering signals to assess results and improve delivery

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience leading software engineering teams building customer-facing products, ideally in cybersecurity, security testing, or technically complex SaaS • Experience leading multiple teams and developing engineering managers and senior technical leaders • Track record of setting strategy and delivering across multiple teams with measurable outcomes • Strong technical judgment in software architecture, automation, distributed systems, and production operations • Experience taking complex capabilities from research or concept through reliable production delivery • Customer-oriented product mindset and judgment balancing innovation, coverage, reliability, safety, delivery speed, and maintainability • Ability to partner across Engineering, Product, and customer-facing teams • Commitment to coaching, performance feedback, inclusive leadership, and healthy team culture • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical communication skills • High initiative, ownership, and accountability; comfort with ambiguity • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • Familiarity with offensive security, web application penetration testing, vulnerability research, attack automation, or security products • Working knowledge of modern web application architecture, HTTP, authentication and session flows, APIs, browser automation, and testing applications at scale • Familiarity with AI/LLM and agentic-system security • Experience with cloud software and production platforms • Fluency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, TypeScript, Go, or comparable • Understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, observability, incident response, and operational readiness • Bonus: Experience with web crawling, browser automation, SSO, SAML, OIDC, AI/LLM security capabilities, agentic workflows, OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, MITRE ATLAS, AWS, Azure, GCP, Neo4j, PostgreSQL, OSCP, OSEP, or OSWE
