📋 Description

• Lead the technical work for NodeZero's defensive agents that translate proven attack paths into continuous actionable remediation • Set technical direction alongside AI researchers and lead platform engineers • Own the technical strategy for autonomous remediation as a core NodeZero product capability • Write production code weekly and review pull requests • Partner with Product to sequence problems and define technical roadmaps • Own the end-to-end technical vision from initial design through shipping, iteration, and deprecation • Set technical standards through design reviews, code quality, and operational discipline • Mentor engineers and build frameworks and architecture for high-quality work • Surface risks and tradeoffs early and hold the team accountable to outcomes • Connect AI research and platform engineering to account for platform constraints • Make build-versus-buy-versus-integrate decisions for model providers, orchestration frameworks, and control-plane integrations • Design durable execution for long-running, resumable agent runs • Design tool and authorization layers enforcing tenant scope and permissions • Own multi-tenant isolation for agents taking write actions • Architect connector frameworks for heterogeneous third-party security control APIs • Protect against prompt injection and prevent model output from authorizing privileged actions • Build observability that makes agent behavior explainable

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience using modern object-oriented or functional languages • Experience building applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes • Deep experience with agentic or LLM-backed systems in production • Expert proficiency in SQL • Experience designing and operating distributed systems in production, including asynchronous workflows, queues, retries, idempotency, and partial failure • Track record of shipping and operating production services, including on-call ownership • Experience with durable execution or workflow engines, such as Temporal, or equivalent checkpointing • Experience building multi-tenant platforms with hard isolation requirements, workload identity, and short-lived credential brokering • Experience integrating third-party APIs behind a normalized abstraction • Familiarity with EDR, firewalls, SIEM, and cloud IAM security control planes and APIs • Experience with PostgreSQL and Neo4j database architectures • Experience building GraphQL backends
