📋 Description

• Assist with customer environment implementation and software configuration • Support operational outcomes aligned to department SLA, cost, and automation targets • Perform environment updates, migrations, and software upgrades under senior engineer guidance • Monitor customer environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and alerting systems • Respond to alerts, escalate issues, and support day-to-day service reliability • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to production incidents • Assist with root cause analysis and preventive measures • Communicate during incidents and contribute to post-incident reviews and written summaries • Support Azure cost optimization and department FinOps goals • Provide customer service and technical support • Update technical documentation, workflows, and knowledge base articles • Identify operational and security posture improvements through trend analysis • Assist with changes required to maintain compliance certification

🎯 Requirements

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience • Up to 1 year of cloud operations or infrastructure experience; relevant internship or academic project experience considered • Foundational understanding of computer systems and networks • Basic knowledge of IT compliance, policy development, and implementation • Exposure to Microsoft Azure; AWS or Google Cloud exposure is a plus • Exposure to Microsoft Windows Server, IIS, and Microsoft SQL Server • Basic scripting or automation using PowerShell, Azure PowerShell Modules, REST APIs, or ARM Templates • Knowledge of identity management concepts using Azure Entra ID, Okta, OpenID Connect, and SAML • Azure fundamentals certification such as AZ-900 or similar is a plus • Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, or Azure Pipelines is preferred • Interest in or exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot • Foundational knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and protocols including IPSec, TLS, SSH, and AES • Network and application security device configuration and management using Cisco, Barracuda, Palo Alto, or SonicWall • Basic familiarity with high-availability application architecture, traffic management, and load balancing • Strong customer service orientation • Developing troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, production-focused environment • Willingness to work through ambiguous problems with senior team support • Strong attention to detail • Must be legally authorized to work for any company in the United States without sponsorship
