📋 Description

• Lead HPN’s efforts to raise philanthropic revenue from national foundations, financial institutions, family offices, and philanthropic individuals • Increase visibility among key stakeholders to support HPN’s core services, social innovation, enterprise development, and programmatic initiatives • Manage all ongoing funder relationships and lead philanthropic strategy • Oversee all funder reporting • Work with the CEO and EVP, Chief of Staff, to devise and implement funder relationship strategies • Oversee, manage, and coach fundraising and development professionals • Develop and execute plans to achieve private fundraising goals and raise specialized resources for HPN business lines, peer exchange, R&D activities, and selected social enterprises • Lead customized strategies for prospect outreach, diversification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship • Build a robust pipeline of new prospects through research, HPN member engagement, staff leadership, content experts, industry events, associations, and consultants • Oversee fundraising operations, including Salesforce prospect and donor tracking, proposals, reports, acknowledgements, and stewardship follow-up • Meet, manage, and monitor annual fundraising goals in partnership with executive and finance stakeholders • Report to the EVP, Chief of Staff, oversee two direct reports, and build and lead a growing team

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • 6 or more years of prior fundraising and project management experience • Experience in a high-capacity philanthropic organization, such as a regional or national nonprofit, financial institution, community development institution, or foundation • Proven track record of raising over $6M annually • Experience leading and evaluating fundraising functions, including strategy, institutional development, proposal development, donor relationship management, and grant reporting • Strong verbal communication and excellent writing skills • Ability to craft and supervise high-quality proposals, reports, donor correspondence, and fundraising materials • Experience preferred with raising capital for business lines or new product development • Demonstrated success working with family offices, foundations, and financial institutions • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities • Management experience and desire to lead a growing Philanthropy team • Willingness to coach fundraising best practices and model collaborative behaviors • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to plan and work independently and flexibly • Ability to lead a team while working across teams and maintaining accountability for goals • Experience implementing systems and standard operating procedures for complex work • Commitment to and appreciation for HPN’s work, mission, and culture • Fluency in Office 365 required • Salesforce experience highly preferred • Master’s or other graduate degree preferred but not required
