📋 Description

• Provide all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, consultation, and preventative-care education • Function as a licensed registered nurse and care provider in inpatient and outpatient situations • Conduct physicals, order tests, prescribe medications, and serve as a patient’s healthcare provider • Coordinate timely patient care under physician supervision for defined patient populations • Coordinate care between healthcare providers and participate in interprofessional rounds • Conduct initial, ongoing, and discharge health assessments • Identify health characteristics, develop care plans, initiate interventions, and evaluate outcomes • Perform invasive, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures within licensure and credentialed privileges • Collaborate with interprofessional teams to manage patient care and resolve clinical or ethical concerns • Lead quality, outcome, safety, protocol, research, evidence-based practice, and performance-improvement activities • Document care to support financial targets, decrease length of stay, and optimize efficiency • Serve as clinical resource, consultant, patient advocate, preceptor, coach, and mentor • Provide professional education through research, presentations, and publications • Complete and update the My Development Plan

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited school of Nursing • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioners program • Two years of registered nurse, advanced practice, or nurse practitioner clinical experience • RN - Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure • APRN Non-Acute Care state license • Non-Acute Care ANCC recognized certification • BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor certification from the American Heart Association • AP - Prescriptive Authority - Texas Board of Nursing / Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation • DEA - Narcotics License within 6 months • Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English • Assessment, clinical, documentation, leadership, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, time management, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills • Ability to work autonomously under the Nurse Practice Act • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers • Must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days if establishing Texas residency
