📋 Description

• Create substation drawing packages, including one-line drawings, three-line drawings, DC schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, component layouts, electrical plans, and detailed assembly drawings • Draft drawings using AutoCAD and MicroStation • Perform fault analysis and coordination studies • Develop SCADA settings and settings for station relays • Interpret customer specifications and provide compliant designs • Understand theories and fundamentals of electrical circuits and related components • Check/yellow-line protection and control wiring diagrams against schematic diagrams • Create control panel and field equipment wiring diagrams from schematic diagrams • Create project-specific protection and control schematic diagrams from standard customer schematics • Create protection and control schematic diagrams from a one-line diagram • Update and revise existing customer substation legacy Brownfield schematic and wiring diagrams • Collaborate with designers and engineers on technical issues • Perform project management activities and lead small projects without supervision • Champion process improvements • Visit customers approximately 10% of the time

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology • Minimum one year of Transmission and Distribution Protection and Control related experience • Knowledge of Microprocessor Based Protection and Control Relays • Knowledge of RS-232/RS485/Fiber optic/Ethernet Communication • Knowledge of RTU Equipment, HMI, and SCADA System • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office Suite • Strong attention to detail • Working knowledge of transmission and distribution protection and control schematic and wiring diagrams • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills • P.E. license or P.E. track preferred
