📋 Description

• Develop and implement algorithms enabling wireless connectivity between terrestrial Bluetooth devices and satellites • Contribute to modeling, system design, and implementation of wireless communication systems • Work with cross-functional hardware and software engineering groups • Lead projects from concept to reality rapidly and effectively • Apply first-principles engineering to complex system design • Understand requirements flow-down and iterate on evolving requirements • Conduct self-directed design reviews and participate in reviews of parallel systems • Communicate technical topics with engineering, build staff, and operations • Identify problems and produce reliable, cost-effective solutions for an early-stage company

🎯 Requirements

• 2 years of directly relevant experience • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline • Strong understanding of communication theory and signal processing-related algorithm design, including channel estimation, equalization, beamforming, timing recovery, coding, and error correction • Knowledge of wireless communication protocols, including 5G/LTE/WCDMA/GSM, 802.11 standards, and Bluetooth/Bluetooth Low Energy • Expertise in signal processing and wireless communications systems, such as FSK/OFDM/MIMO • Hands-on experience with lab testing and characterization • Experience with Matlab or Python and/or C/C++ for algorithm development, modeling, and simulation • Experience and knowledge of High Level Synthesis (HLS), silicon prototyping, FPGA development, and emulation systems • Experience bringing up real systems in silicon/FPGA/SoC • Experience using lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators • Ability to work independently • Ability to learn new technologies, network protocols, and tools rapidly • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills • Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment • Must be available to work extended hours and weekends when specific highly-critical events dictate • Passion for creating state-of-the-art software systems • U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency (green card) required under ITAR • Strongly desired: 5–10 years of relevant experience • Strongly desired: Experience with multi-radio coexistence management • Strongly desired: Experience in modem architecture, microprocessor architecture, and hardware/software control • Strongly desired: Experience with low-power algorithm design for power-critical applications
