📋 Description

• Analyze DLP alerts and controls across email, endpoint, web, cloud/CASB, collaboration, and data classification platforms • Validate policy behavior, assess business context, and recommend actions • Explain DLP, data classification, and information protection controls to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Serve as centralized intake for Data Protection inquiries, control questions, investigation requests, exceptions, and incident or problem tickets • Triage and coordinate requests through resolution or appropriate escalation • Investigate unusual data access, bulk downloads, unauthorized sharing, unapproved storage, and attempts to bypass controls • Assess events using user activity, data sensitivity, destination, control action, business context, and historical patterns • Coordinate review and escalation with Threat Management & Response, Legal, Privacy, Compliance, Human Resources, and business stakeholders • Maintain objective, evidence-based investigation documentation • Coordinate response and escalation for elevated-risk investigations, potential incidents, or specialized reviews • Respond to inquiries about DLP alerts, data classification, control behavior, exception handling, security reviews, and operational processes • Communicate findings, limitations, and recommended next steps to technical and business audiences • Maintain case notes, investigation summaries, standard operating procedures, runbooks, knowledge articles, and triage materials • Compile operational metrics on alert and investigation volume, service-level performance, queue aging, case quality, exceptions, subsidiary support, compliance evidence, and control effectiveness • Identify control issues and improve triage consistency, service levels, evidence handling, automation, and repeatable workflows • Meet service levels, maintain complete case records, reduce queue aging, and escalate blockers or emerging risk promptly • Support subsidiaries and affiliated businesses using consistent investigation, evidence-handling, documentation, escalation, privacy, and compliance standards

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • Two or more years of relevant technical experience, including at least one year in Data Security, Cyber Data Protection, DLP, security operations, insider risk, incident response support, or a related field • Experience triaging security alerts, reviewing logs, collecting evidence, documenting findings, and supporting investigations or incident response • Working knowledge of DLP, data classification, information protection, security monitoring, data handling, and common exposure scenarios • Ability to analyze routine to moderately complex issues, follow established procedures, and make sound, evidence-based recommendations • Experience supporting centralized intake, ticket handling, case management, or operational queues with consistent prioritization and follow-up • Effective written and verbal communication skills for explaining Data Security controls to technical and business stakeholders • Commitment to accurate documentation and continuous improvement of scalable, efficient workflows • Ability to responsibly use approved AI-enabled tools while protecting sensitive information and complying with security, privacy, legal, and regulatory requirements • Experience with enterprise Data Protection technology categories such as DLP, data classification, CASB, SIEM, endpoint security, email security, or data-security posture management • Hands-on experience with platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps, Zscaler, CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, Symantec, Splunk, Google Security Operations, Microsoft Sentinel, Cyera, Netskope, or comparable tools • Experience in regulated environments such as healthcare, insurance, or financial services • Familiarity with HIPAA/HITECH, PCI DSS, GLBA, NIST, SOC 2, HITRUST, or related frameworks • Security-related certification such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, GSEC, or relevant vendor certification, or progress toward certification • Experience supporting insider risk, data exfiltration, cloud application, web activity, unauthorized sharing, or inappropriate data movement investigations • Experience reviewing security documentation, cloud service requests, data risk information, vendor or SaaS intake, or security control exceptions • Ability to handle sensitive and regulated information according to security, privacy, legal, records-management, and evidence-handling requirements • Participation in scheduled or after-hours support, escalation, travel, and workplace arrangements when required • Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions • Home internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds
