📋 Description

• Design, build, and own AI agent workflows across the NBA platform's user interfaces and internal tooling • Write and ship production code alongside the engineering team • Architect multi-step agentic pipelines integrating the platform data layer, decisioning outputs, and activation channels • Integrate large language models into platform workflows, including prompt engineering, tool use, structured output handling, and context management • Partner with frontend and product teams to deliver AI-powered analysis and recommendations in the Command and Control UI and other operator-facing surfaces • Build evaluation frameworks to measure AI output quality • Ensure agentic workflows are reliable, auditable, and safe in a regulated healthcare environment • Lead a small team of engineers and contractors • Manage AI engineering contractors, set expectations, review work, and maintain quality standards • Model best practices for AI-assisted development across the engineering organization

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of software or ML engineering experience • At least 1–2 years focused on LLM integration, agentic AI, or AI product engineering • Hands-on experience building production agentic systems, including multi-step pipelines, tool orchestration, structured output handling, and multi-turn conversation management • Experience with RAG patterns and vector search in production • Strong Python engineering skills • Experience integrating LLM APIs such as Anthropic, OpenAI, or equivalents into real applications • Proven ability to lead a small team or pod through delivery and manage contractor resources • Strong judgment on appropriate AI use in regulated, member-facing contexts • Ability to explain agentic architecture to engineering and product stakeholders • Deep fluency with AI productivity tools such as Claude and Copilot • Work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information • Home internet with minimum 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds • Occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be required
