📋 Description

• Act as the intake for calls from patients, pharmacies and providers • Perform advanced administrative, operational and customer support duties • Help resolve medication access barriers for primary care-managed medications • Conduct medication list reviews and support formulary and cost-management needs • Process Patient Assistance Program applications • Support Low Income Subsidy screening and enrollment • Provide Medicare Prescription Payment Plan education • Manage referrals through established workflows • Conduct patient outreach and coordinate with clinics and providers • Document case activity and follow program guidelines • Conduct medication adherence outreach, auditing, documenting and reporting for STAR measures when applicable • Facilitate resolution of prior authorization and medication access issues • Attend team meetings and provide feedback on workflow issues • Initiate and follow through with patient assistance programs, prior authorizations, formulary exceptions or alternatives and tier reductions • Assist with medication packaging education, pharmacy transfers, third-party rejections and override assistance • Process select medication claim updates as requested by clinical pharmacists or providers • Document outreach attempts, outcomes and case status updates

🎯 Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program • Active unrestricted State Pharmacy Technician License in your state of residence • PTCB Certified with Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Certification or ability to obtain MTM Certification within 60 days of hire date • Minimum three (3) more years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician • Knowledge of the top 200 drugs • Comfortable working with or learning electronic health record systems • Prior Authorization experience • Pharmacy Benefit Management experience • Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information • Self-provided internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed
