📋 Description

• Travel to provider offices within the assigned Central Florida territory • Scan paper medical records using a laptop and portable scanner and/or download electronic medical records to a thumb drive • Collect medical records to meet production goals • Visit physician offices in a timely and efficient manner to meet deadlines • Travel up to 50% of the time in Orange, Osceola, Lake, Sumter, Marion, and surrounding counties • Travel up to one week at a time to surrounding counties near Jacksonville based on business needs • Answer phones, electronically fax, search the internet, and use email • Research and update site information using CarePlus internal systems • Follow CarePlus and HIPAA confidentiality standards • Communicate professionally and courteously and clearly state agreed-upon resolutions • Records are reviewed by Humana's Coding staff

🎯 Requirements

• Reside in the Greater Orlando area • 1 or more years of telephonic environment experience and/or customer service in an office setting • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel • Ability to travel locally up to 50% of the time • Ability to travel overnight occasionally within the region • Must have reliable car transportation • Working knowledge of computers, or demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new systems • Valid state driver's license • Proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits • Motor Vehicle Report as part of the background check process • Preferred: 1 or more years of Medical Record or Health information retrieval experience in a hospital, healthcare and/or medical office setting • Preferred: Knowledge and experience in managed care • Preferred: Medical terminology • Preferred: Experience in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems • Preferred: Medical record retrieval experience • Preferred: Bilingual English and Spanish • Preferred: Healthcare experience • Home internet with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload • Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
