📋 Description

• Develop and support tools, technologies, applications, datasets, pipelines, and reporting solutions for actionable business information • Maintain and enhance claims-related data pipelines, curated datasets, semantic/reporting layers, dashboard refresh processes, and recurring analytics assets • Partner with market, finance, operations, corporate, and technology stakeholders to translate ambiguous requests into scalable data and reporting solutions • Research data availability, source systems, data ownership, business definitions, lineage, and technical approaches for claims-related requests • Write complex, performant SQL queries • Develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytical products • Build and support Databricks data engineering solutions, including pipelines, transformations, workflows, and automation • Support migration and modernization from existing data platforms into Databricks • Contribute to AI/ML and generative AI initiatives using structured and unstructured healthcare data • Attend occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings

🎯 Requirements

• Undergraduate degree • Minimum 5 years of SQL experience, including writing complex queries to extract, transform, summarize, and analyze data from multiple sources • Minimum 2 years of experience utilizing Databricks data engineering, including building and maintaining pipelines, workflows, and data transformation processes • Experience developing business intelligence dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar visualization tools • Demonstrated analytical experience, including working through ambiguous business requests, performing data discovery, and developing actionable solutions • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps • Wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection suggested; satellite, cellular, and microwave connections require leadership approval • Dedicated work space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information • Advanced degree preferred • Experience with Python and/or PySpark preferred • Exposure to AI/ML, generative AI, or retrieval-augmented generation concepts preferred • Experience with healthcare data, particularly claims-related data, provider data, or healthcare finance/operations analytics preferred • Experience creating and maintaining automated ETL/ELT processes preferred • Familiarity with PowerApps or other low-code tools preferred • Experience supporting data platform migration, cloud modernization, or lakehouse-based analytics initiatives preferred
