📋 Description

• Own governed data models, tables, views, and semantic layers for BI reporting • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines • Translate stakeholder reporting needs into durable data models and pipelines • Define and maintain business KPIs using SQL and Python • Implement data quality checks, validation processes, and documentation • Create and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools • Support leadership-critical reporting deliverables • Evolve data platform and architecture, including legacy pipelines • Design secure and scalable data access paths with IT and data partners • Mentor data engineering, analysis, validation, and BI reporting team members • Cultivate organizational data literacy through documentation and training • Perform ad hoc SQL or Python analysis • Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly for SQL, Python, and documentation • Evaluate and implement AI/LLM-powered BI capabilities such as natural-language querying, semantic layers, summaries, and anomaly alerts

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Analysis, or a related field with 6+ years of experience OR a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience • Deep hands-on experience with data modeling and database/warehouse design • Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python (pandas, PySpark, or similar) • Hands-on experience building and maintaining source-of-truth ETL/ELT pipelines in production environments • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or QuickSight • Track record of mentoring or leading engineers or analysts • Ability to work with ambiguous, evolving requirements and partner with business stakeholders • Strong communication and technical documentation skills • Experience working in an agile environment and balancing multiple concurrent priorities • Practical experience using AI-assisted coding and productivity tools, with ability to review and validate outputs
