📋 Description

• Advise business partners and stakeholders on contractual risk and mitigating factors during negotiations and before execution • Independently negotiate with third parties • Redline contract language • Provide detailed risk analysis of deals • Ensure contracts align with business objectives while mitigating legal, financial, and operational risks • Partner with legal, finance, supply chain, and business stakeholders to structure agreements • Influence department strategy • Make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approaches for project components • Determine objectives and approaches to assignments with considerable latitude • Occasionally travel to Humana offices for training or meetings, potentially 1–2 times per year

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) OR advanced degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field; alternatively, 5+ years of progressive experience in contract management, negotiation, or related role in lieu of an advanced degree • Experience in contract review, drafting, and administration, with direct responsibility for negotiating contract terms and conditions • Demonstrated ability to redline agreements and assess contractual, financial, and operational risks • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple, complex priorities • Experience with creative/complex drafting in a regulated space preferred • Prior experience negotiating directly with third parties across multiple industries, regions, or contract types preferred • Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) software such as Ironclad or Icertis preferred • Demonstrated success balancing business objectives with compliance and risk management preferred • Ability to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) and Central Standard Time (CST) hours • Self-provided internet service with minimum 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed • Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
