📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end design and deployment of healthcare integrations involving 278R and 275 EDI transactions, RESTful APIs, and file-based integrations • Design, build, and optimize data mapping schemas between customer systems and Humata Health platforms • Manage B2B VPN tunnels, IP whitelisting, SSL certificates, mutual TLS, and security credential provisioning • Perform payload-level debugging of JSON, XML, and EDI data • Build SQL scripts for migration validation, data integrity checks, root cause analysis, and failed transaction analysis • Use packet tracing and VPN diagnostic tools to troubleshoot connectivity issues • Develop automated integration validation test scripts • Monitor production data flows and configure alerts for integration failures • Create and maintain sequence diagrams, data flow diagrams, and API schema documentation • Document VPN configurations, encryption protocols, and authentication flows • Define standardized error handling frameworks, response formats, and retry logic • Serve as the technical SME for customer IT teams • Provide guidance on EMR connectivity, authorization workflow data normalization, encryption, PHI/PII handling, and HIPAA compliance • Contribute product feedback on APIs, integration tooling, and debugging utilities • Collaborate with engineering teams on reusable integration frameworks and middleware components • Mentor junior technical implementation specialists • Travel to customer sites as required, up to 25%

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent technical field • 5–7+ years of hands-on integration engineering experience • Direct ownership of EDI and API implementations in a healthcare environment • Deep expertise with EDI X12 standards, especially 278R transactions and 275 attachments • Advanced SQL proficiency, including CTEs, window functions, and ETL data validation workflows • Hands-on experience with interface engines; strong preference for Mirth Connect or comparable platforms • Expert knowledge of REST API protocols, authentication, schema validation, rate limiting, pagination, and error handling • Familiarity with healthcare IT systems including Epic, Cerner, and Athenahealth • Experience with revenue cycle systems and prior authorization systems • Proficiency configuring and troubleshooting B2B VPNs, SSL certificates, mutual TLS, and encryption protocols • Experience with Wireshark, OpenVPN, tcpdump, or similar network troubleshooting tools • Understanding of HIPAA, HITRUST, and data privacy/security compliance frameworks • Experience with Postman, Newman, Swagger Inspector, or similar API testing and monitoring tools • Experience with healthcare prior authorization workflows, utilization management, and revenue cycle operations • Experience with event-driven architectures such as webhooks or Kafka • Familiarity with PowerBI, Looker, or equivalent integration health monitoring and reporting tools • Contributions to technical enablement, including reusable Postman collections, knowledge bases, and data mapping templates • Ability to mentor junior technical implementation specialists • Willingness to travel to customer sites up to 25% • Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States • Must answer whether employment visa sponsorship is required
