📋 Description

• Assist with proposal, budget, and timeline development • Deliver internal audit risk assessments and internal audit planning • Research client background and risks • Lead internal audit risk assessments and develop internal audit plans • Prepare kickoff meetings with clients and complete related planning activities • Execute internal audit plans • Conduct interviews with senior management • Oversee day-to-day engagement teams • Provide guidance to junior team members during fieldwork • Review junior team members’ work papers and provide feedback • Prepare client kickoff and exit meetings • Manage end-to-end internal audit engagement economics, including scope, progress, budget versus actuals, risks and issues, and billing • Prepare draft reports and wrap up internal audit work • Develop and maintain productive client relationships to identify further work opportunities • Build strong internal relationships across service lines • Contribute to thought leadership materials

🎯 Requirements

• Director-level experience in Internal Audit, AML, BSA, and OFAC within the financial services industry • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field • Minimum 7 years of experience with internal audit and AML, BSA, OFAC compliance in a big public accounting and consulting firm, regulatory environment or the banking sector • Strong knowledge of IIA Standards, auditing standards and procedures, and relevant Financial Services industry laws, rules, and regulations • Broad abilities in process and controls and risk assessment • Extensive experience developing and implementing internal audit programs, including financial, operational, technology, and compliance audits • Proven track record managing co-sourcing and outsourcing engagements • Experience leveraging advanced technology and AI tools, e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Enterprise ChatGPT, copilot • Excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities • Flexibility, multitasking ability, and ability to deliver quality work under tight deadlines • Willingness and ability to travel to client sites as needed • Industry-related certification (e.g., CIA, CPA, CAMS)
