📋 Description

• Document and communicate requirements for data engineers • Write Scala code for the Claims Cost Measures Team • Use and write Python scripts for ETL and data analysis • Perform data validation and use SQL for data queries • Improve data quality checks • Update and enhance data documentation • Communicate with external partners regarding requirements • Script and analyze data consistently • Use JIRA and Confluence • Attend Scrum ceremonies and test meetings • Work East Coast hours with meetings potentially starting at 9:00 AM Eastern Time • Participate in occasional in-person Program Increment Planning events

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Computer Science, IT or a related field) • 5+ years of experience in software or data development • 3+ years of on-the-job coding experience in Scala or similar languages • 3+ years of experience in a data engineering role • 2+ years of experience with any SQL dialect • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust • Must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and perform all work in the U.S. • Must have lived in the U.S. for three full years out of the last five years • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently • Ability to take ownership of analyses from requirements clarification to deliverables • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills • Ability to understand and articulate the big picture and simplify complex ideas • Ability to identify and learn new techniques independently
