📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain custom test frameworks for Illumina’s primary analysis software • Work with the development team to understand software changes and adapt tests accordingly • Identify gaps in existing tests and develop new tests to improve reliability and coverage • Investigate test failures, triage issues, and collaborate with developers to diagnose root causes • Expand and maintain test coverage as primary analysis capabilities and responsibilities evolve • Ensure tests are clear, well-documented, reproducible, and maintainable

🎯 Requirements

• Experience developing production-quality code using Python or C# • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, workflows, and troubleshooting • Experience writing and maintaining automation for complex systems • Strong problem-solving skills • Ability to collaborate effectively with co-workers • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related field, or equivalent experience • 5+ years of professional experience developing production-ready software code and tests • Experience testing data-intensive, scientific, or computational analysis software • Familiarity with custom automation frameworks • Working knowledge of Python data visualization libraries • Basic proficiency with software release process documentation and deliverables • Experience benchmarking and performance monitoring software on hardware • Exposure to product software lifecycle tools • Must not require visa sponsorship
