📋 Description

• Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and team members to elicit business requirements, define business processes, and system requirements • Analyze stakeholder requirements and design business process models, workflow charts, diagrams, specifications, and user stories • Assess overall business needs and provide solutions while documenting and defining business requirements • Work with technical teams to translate requirements into system designs and solutions • Conduct discovery sessions, workshops, and interviews to align business needs with technology solutions • Bridge business users and technical teams by defining clear, scalable solutions • Support decomposition of requirements into user stories in an Agile development lifecycle • Write user stories with acceptance criteria • Facilitate creation of functional and technical diagrams and related artifacts • Analyze existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvements • Develop and maintain process/control changes by identifying gaps and writing improved processes • Develop and maintain strong relationships with DoD clients • Contribute to project planning and milestone delivery aligned with business objectives • Consult with end users to evaluate business requirements and develop design specifications • Work closely with Development teams to design, code, test, and implement application features and capabilities • Provide mentorship to Junior Business Analysts

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years professional experience / minimum of 10 years supporting Business Analyst activities • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance issued by the Department of Defense (DoD) • United States Citizenship required for Secret security clearance eligibility • Must reside in the continental United States • Experience with DON Manpower, Personnel, Training, and Education IT systems • Experience working with DoD customers to define capability needs • Experience with DoD business processes • Experience as a business analyst on Agile teams • Experience eliciting and decomposing capability needs • Experience documenting as-is and to-be business processes • Experience in business process analysis, mapping, and optimization • Expertise in requirements gathering and management, user stories, functional requirements, requirements analysis, and acceptance criteria • Experience translating requirements into viable concept design solutions • Cattle Drive execution experience • Experience facilitating requirements elicitation with business customers, system assessment teams, and test teams • Experience documenting business (BRD) and functional (FRD) requirements through the entire System Design Life Cycle (SDLC) • Experience capturing requirements through business process modeling (BPM) following industry standards • Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships in team environments and with other business organizations • Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Project management skills and experience are desirable
