📋 Description

• Lead support and technical teams within CTIS for clinical laboratory systems • Execute projects and provide daily and ongoing support for clinical laboratory systems • Coordinate project and support priorities with CTIS leadership, laboratory leadership, and laboratory medical directors • Work with CTIS teams, Cerner, DXC, internal teams, and external teams to resolve support tickets and issues • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and engagement focused on patient safety • Optimize, innovate, and maintain service levels for laboratory applications and systems • Provide knowledge transfer to technical staff • Direct projects and optimization requests to completion on time and within budget • Lead complex projects crossing service areas and divisions • Evaluate and select clinically related software and hardware for approved projects • Serve as escalation point for complex issues and problems • Improve data quality supporting organizational data, alert, and analytics goals • Represent the company with clinical systems vendors and external entities • Plan and manage daily clinical systems service delivery within operating and capital budgets • Direct clinical application, cloud service, integration, and customer support performance • Define and enforce quality standards and best practices • Direct staffing, goal setting, coaching, mentoring, recognition, engagement, training, and performance management • Manage customer, stakeholder, and vendor relationships and expectations • Develop talent, mentor managers and team members, and maintain management succession planning • Communicate with staff through huddles, team meetings, one-on-ones, rounding, and skip-level interviews • Manage resource allocation to ensure timely, on-budget delivery

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, clinical or allied health, computer science, information management, or another technical field, plus eight years of clinical laboratory systems experience including four years of application experience; or master's degree plus five years of such experience; or ten years of laboratory application or workflow configuration, development, and/or support experience • Degree obtained through an accredited institution; education or experience is verified • Experience configuring, supporting, training, and implementing clinical laboratory systems • Experience with multiple technologies, processes, and environments • Ability to direct strategy and operations • Effective leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills • Strong communication skills with clinical and business stakeholders • Strong analysis, problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment • Ability to build strong teams and lead caregivers and teams outside the span of control • Experience in a team-oriented, collaborative environment • Results orientation, initiative, attention to detail, and customer service orientation • Experience using word processing, advanced or complex spreadsheet and database applications, internet and email, scheduling applications, and computerized tracking systems • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Epic Beaker Certification and understanding of clinical laboratory workflows preferred • ITIL certification preferred • Healthcare or healthcare insurance experience preferred • Experience with healthcare provider enterprise clinical applications, vendors, and services preferred • Ability to manage geographically dispersed teams preferred • Project management experience preferred • Availability Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM MST, with on-call availability nights and weekends • Ability to operate computers and office equipment • Ability to see and read computer monitors and documents • Ability to remain sitting or standing for long periods • May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling, and reaching • Candidates must not reside or plan to reside in California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Washington
