📋 Description

• Assist caregivers, participants, and retirees with processing retirement-related transactions • Provide support and direction to leadership, participants, and retirees regarding pension plans, retiree welfare benefits, and 401k, 403b, and 457 plans • Ensure compliance with ERISA, DOL, and IRS regulations and plan documentation • Process retirement transactions accurately and efficiently while safeguarding retirement plan assets • Answer questions, resolve concerns, and research problems or discrepancies • Serve as a subject matter expert for defined benefit, retiree welfare, and defined contribution plans • Liaise with Payroll, Benefits, HRIS, Finance, Operations, external trustees, auditors, and third-party administrators • Extract and analyze data for accurate transfer and reporting to trustees and related databases • Perform specialized and complex calculations • Advise on coverage eligibility and process requirements • Coordinate payments and transfer benefit payment interface files to stakeholders and third parties • Review, authorize, and approve transactions, reconciliations, controls, and processes completed by team members • Provide backup support for plan administration, in-house recordkeeping, operations, and trust relations • Calculate benefits, set up and manage benefit payments, troubleshoot issues, evaluate eligibility, and process participant distributions • Research and respond to cases and escalations • Determine employee eligibility to participate in plans based on plan provisions • Interpret plan provisions, policies, procedures, and applicable laws

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another related field • Degree obtained through an accredited institution; education is verified • Experience working with retirement plan administration or an employee benefits-related area • Experience working with regulations affecting retirement benefits plan administration • Superior computer skills, including working knowledge of worksheets and word processing • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills • Strong problem-solving skills • Preferred: MBA or graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another business-related field • Knowledge of project management, defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, systems administration, benefits administration, analytical thinking, operational decisions, complex problem solving, and coordination
