📋 Description

• Support EPIC Inpatient Orders through planning, design, implementation, maintenance, optimization, and ongoing support • Analyze and diagnose stakeholder problems and determine resolutions • Gather, validate, and translate technology requirements into design and development specifications • Configure, test, install, implement, monitor, and maintain complex systems, applications, workflows, processes, and hardware • Document and recommend workflow changes and technical/functional designs • Partner with external vendors on third-party application integration, implementation, support, and troubleshooting • Resolve complex issues, incidents, and problems according to service levels and department standards • Serve as project manager and perform project management functions for mid-size, cross-functional projects • Coordinate initiatives through demand intake, governance, and project management processes • Conduct quality reviews of team projects • Mentor peers and identify team training opportunities • Develop technical best practices and standards with peers, stakeholders, and vendors • Follow documentation and change-management standards • Develop training and knowledge-based materials • Integrate electronic and mechanical hardware with software products • Develop and understand end-user business reporting needs • Participate in on-call and command-center responsibilities • Develop and maintain testing plans and scripts • Participate in team, project, department, workgroup, subcommittee, and hospital leadership meetings • Assist with project and team budget forecasting, maintenance, adjustment, and justification • Aggregate resource forecasts to roadmap projects and align resources with priorities • Participate in vendor and industry user groups, community discussions, and industry CAB sessions • Manage IT project and initiative portfolios for assigned business units • Help stakeholders complete ROI, benefit plans, and KPI measures • Provide project information to support leadership approval decisions

🎯 Requirements

• EpicCare Ambulatory Certification • Experience supporting healthcare EHR • Senior-level professional experience in healthcare-related information systems • In-depth business and application knowledge and experience • Knowledge of system analysis and operating systems • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel (pivot tables), Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and Word • Project management and control knowledge • Ability to analyze technical, professional, and governmental materials • Ability to write reports, correspondence, and process documents • Bachelor's degree in information technology, healthcare, business, or related field required; actively working toward a bachelor's degree with nine years of professional experience is an alternative • Four years of work experience, or actively working toward a bachelor's degree with six years of experience in related areas • Additional relevant experience may substitute for lack of education upon Supervisory and HR approval • Required to certify on one or more Epic applications and maintain certification • Ability to operate computers and IT equipment • Ability to read computer monitors and documents • Ability to remain sitting or standing for long periods • Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM, with evening and weekend on-call rotation • Ability to complete some quarterly required travel
