📋 Description

• Define and maintain system-level requirements across current hardware and future devices • Serve as the authoritative voice on device collaboration, communication, and graceful failure • Build a data-informed understanding of operators, executives, residents, families, and frontline staff • Use customer insight to define requirements, prioritize trade-offs, and validate outcomes • Lead discovery on new and existing hardware types • Evaluate sensing technologies and device configurations with hardware, software, and commercial teams • Assess technical feasibility and regulatory constraints • Tie hardware recommendations to product SKUs, market expansion, new verticals, and unit economics • Define success criteria from PRD kick-off through Concept, EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production • Translate end-user, unit-economic, business, and clinical goals into phase requirements • Communicate strategy and execution across commercial, implementation, operations, and engineering teams • Partner with implementation to translate deployment constraints into product requirements • Own the end-to-end implementation experience, including software • Use AI throughout discovery, development, and post-launch iterations • Collaborate across hardware, embedded, software, AI, and implementation teams • Report to the Head of Product

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience with deep ownership of hardware-enabled systems • Experience across hardware, embedded systems, and hardware-software integration • End-to-end ownership of hardware development success from PRD and concept through EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production • Accountability for launching profitable new SKUs and defining system-level requirements and cross-device trade-offs • Strong technical foundation in perception and sensing technologies, including cameras, radar, thermal, BLE beacons, and audio • Ability to translate real-world functionality into complex cross-device system requirements • Ability to define willingness to pay and build detailed cost models for multi-device hardware networks • Experience modeling COGS with full BOM and target gross margin • Ability to use cost models to inform trade-off decisions • Fluency working with hardware, embedded, and software engineers on technical requirements, constraints, and system-level trade-offs • Ability to participate in schematic reviews or embedded debug sessions • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to produce clear system requirements, technical PRDs, and trade-off analyses • Bonus: experience with safety-critical or regulated device environments, including UL2560/UL 1069, FDA, FCC, or medical device standards • Bonus: experience in healthcare, senior living, or clinical settings • Bonus: familiarity with AI/ML applied to on-device sensing data, telemetry anomaly detection, or perception pipelines
