📋 Description

• Manage a portfolio of 100–150 major-gift prospects and donors across the full gift cycle • Develop individualized cultivation and solicitation plans • Conduct donor visits, present funding opportunities, and close five- and six-figure gifts and multi-year commitments • Participate in moves management and portfolio review processes • Identify and qualify new prospects through direct outreach • Own relationship development within the Intellectual Builders donor community and corporate giving segment • Coordinate with Development Operations, Portfolio Management, Foundations, Communications & Marketing, Programs, and program scholars • Engage executive leadership and scholars for high-level donor relationships and key commitments • Maintain accurate portfolio activity, opportunities, contact reports, cultivation status, and solicitation plans in Salesforce • Support pipeline planning, gift forecasting, and portfolio reviews

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of front-line major gift fundraising experience • Documented record of closing five- and six-figure commitments • Experience qualifying prospects and initiating donor relationships through direct, cold outreach • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to engage donors across diverse professional and ideological backgrounds • Experience with CRM platforms, specifically Salesforce • Ability to independently create and maintain opportunities, activities, and contact reports • Strong organizational skills • Ability to manage a complex, multi-stage national portfolio with consistent follow-through • Full-time availability Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. ET • Ability to travel approximately 2–3 weeks per year for staff gatherings and on-site collaboration • Ability to undertake approximately 30–40% donor-related travel
