📋 Description

• Drafting and preparing final agency decisions (FADs), the main function of the position • Reviewing Reports of Investigation (ROIs) for legal sufficiency • Assisting in processing informal and formal EEO complaints • Processing post-closure compliance and appeal work • Drafting formal and complex legal documents, including accept/dismissal letters, appeal documents, counselor’s reports, and complaint status memorandums • Conducting legal research and editing • Reviewing facts and case law

🎯 Requirements

• JD required • Must be barred in a US State or Territory • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a lawyer required • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in Federal sector civil rights matters and/or processing federal sector EEO complaints required • Must have a minimum of three (3) years writing Final Agency Decision reports at the federal level • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Public Trust Clearance • Must be a US Citizen • Knowledge of Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 • Knowledge of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 • Knowledge of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act • Knowledge of the Equal Pay Act • Knowledge of the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act • Knowledge of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act of 1974 • Exceptional writing skills • Adept at legal research and legal editing • Must be able to provide references and a writing sample during interview process
