📋 Description

• Develop and execute strategies to expand INTERA’s mining services with a focus on Latin America and North America • Use your established industry relationships to build partnerships and secure high-impact projects • Guide advanced hyrogeochemical programs for waste rock, tailings, and water management for projects in any stage of the mining life cycle • Champion business development initiatives as directed by our Mining Business Development Director • Lead client engagement in the Americas across the mining sector with a focus on mine water resources/management, mine waste geochemistry, and permitting support • Direct multidisciplinary teams on projects ranging from planning to closure in mine waste characterization/management • Represent INTERA at conferences and other industry forums • Travel 2 to 3 times per quarter on average

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in hydrogeology, geology, civil/geological/mining engineering, or a related field with an emphasis on geochemistry, water chemistry, or mine hydrogeology • Broad technical knowledge base and experience in mine water supply/dewatering/management, environmental geochemistry, hydrogeology, and hydrology, across all phases of mining (PEA, PFS, FS, operation, and closure) • 20+ years of professional experience in mining hydrology, mine waste geochemistry, or related fields with increasing levels of responsibility in consulting or the mining industry • Proven track record of project delivery, budget management, technical leadership, mentoring, and business development • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex science into actionable insights for clients and stakeholders • Experience, knowledge, and client contacts in the mining industry • Bilingual (Spanish/English) verbal and written communication skills
