📋 Description

• Support the strategy and evaluation of utility-scale clean energy and power infrastructure projects serving data centers and digital infrastructure • Identify early-stage projects and evaluate site feasibility, interconnection access, and project economics using financial modeling, spatial GIS analysis, and AI optimization tools • Screen and analyze greenfield site opportunities across target U.S. ISO/RTO markets • Assess regional grid capacity, transmission constraints, and market dynamics to formulate market-entry strategies • Review federal and county zoning, land-use, and permitting requirements to validate project feasibility and mitigate development risk • Support wind, solar, BESS, thermal, and load projects from strategy through construction start • Manage day-to-day project budgets, schedules, and development tools • Prepare updates and materials for senior leadership and investment committees • Develop and maintain financial and valuation models to evaluate project economics and interconnection cost profiles • Perform accounting reconciliations across multi-departmental budgets • Evaluate risks and opportunities and frame tradeoffs for stakeholders • Partner with Engineering, Finance, and Permitting to shape cohesive project strategies • Drive projects from initial concept through construction • Support negotiations and relationships with utilities, land agents, and counsel

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Energy Resources, Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline • 3+ years of experience in clean energy development, power origination, or utility-scale energy infrastructure planning • Expertise building and maintaining financial or project models in Excel and Google Sheets • Interest in applying AI optimization tools to improve workflow efficiency • Hands-on experience with ISO/RTO interconnection processes • Experience with accounting reconciliation • Experience with ArcGIS Online and federal/county regulatory databases • Strategic and analytical problem-solving approach • High adaptability in fast-moving, emerging energy markets • Alignment with Intersect's core values of Equity, Humility, Authenticity, Long-run Value, and People Come First
