• Provide real-time monitoring of continuous and intermittent EEG • Detect EEG abnormalities • Notify oversight neurologists and designated care providers of technical findings • Clip/prune EEG studies • Monitor patients across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations • Maintain a daily cEEG log and document appropriately • Operate and troubleshoot EEG equipment • Interact professionally with hospital staff, oversight neurologists, and remote technologists • Provide majority night and weekend coverage
• Experienced R. EEG Technologist • Must be ABRET board certified in Electroencephalography (R. EEGT) • Certification in Long-term Monitoring (CLTM) required within 2 years of hire • Minimum of 3 years of post-training experience in long-term monitoring in ICU/EMU • Must have a HIPAA-compliant workspace free from unauthorized viewing • Must comply with facility credentialing requirements for vaccinations and education • Must have reliable cellphone coverage and internet service meeting or exceeding company standards • Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills • Knowledge of adult, pediatric, and neonatal EEG patterns • Ability to distinguish artifacts from cortical activity • Understanding of medical terminology, ACNS EEG description terminology, and neurodiagnostics abbreviations • Experience in advanced epilepsy monitoring in the EMU, such as intracranial/stereotactic cEEG, preferred • Knowledge of Nihon Kohden, Cadwell, and Xltek EEG equipment preferred • Availability for a minimum of 16 hours (4 shifts) per week, preferably weeknights and weekends
