• Ensure compliance with EHS policies, programs, and procedures for Field Services Operations • Communicate and contribute to the development of FSO-specific EHS programs • Conduct annual EHS training, audits, and inspections • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of safety performance and culture • Ensure personnel and employees are informed of safe working procedures and practices • Manage required compliance activities and implement Invenergy EHS requirements • Assess workplace and job-site risks and identify hazards • Facilitate implementation of Invenergy standards and procedures at sites • Lead investigations of incidents and significant near-miss events, including required EHS management-system forms • Conduct inspections and annual OSHA compliance audits; monitor and document corrective actions • Complete, document, and submit EHS reports and recordkeeping information • Deliver training on EHS policies and programs • Ensure proper use of the 3E SDS management system • Communicate injury and illness awareness updates and mitigation measures • Maintain rapport with personnel through site visits and FSO conference calls • Meet periodically with FSO Directors and Managers regarding EHS matters affecting equipment replacement, blade repair, and technical support groups • Provide expertise in the Intelex EHS Management system for the FSO group • Manage documentation for EHS initiatives and ad hoc programs such as safety stand-downs, Safety Alerts, and Bulletins • Perform other EHS-related duties as assigned
• Technical/University degree or equivalent experience, OR High School Diploma/GED with at least 2 years of Wind industry experience • Preferred experience maintaining or replacing major component equipment in wind energy generation • Up to 60% travel required • Able to pass fit testing and pulmonary function testing to wear a cartridge respirator • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and internet-based reporting tools • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, oral, and written communication skills • Ability to prepare accurate reports with findings and recommendations • Ability to perform varied duties accurately and quickly in high-stress environments • Time-management, multitasking, and independent problem-solving abilities • Able to work outdoors in inclement weather • Able to climb ladders unaided and work at heights over 80 meters (250 feet) • Able to move and manipulate up to 50 pounds • Weight must not exceed 129 kg (285 lbs.) excluding worn equipment/gear when climbing • Able to travel nationally, sometimes with minimal advance notice • Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship now or in the future • Safety-sensitive position subject to pre-employment drug testing and a negative result before starting
