• Support the Wind operating fleet, focusing on in-field troubleshooting and return-to-service efforts • Partner with site teams to return turbines to service and train newer technicians on troubleshooting practices • Travel within the US fleet to support owned and third-party contracted sites on advanced troubleshooting, pilot initiatives, de-rated turbines, and complex repairs • Diagnose faults and repair equipment safely and efficiently • Support pilot projects evaluating new equipment, tools, and processes • Assist with deliverables and contractual obligations while interfacing with internal and external parties • Prepare and implement operating procedures compliant with company, customer, industry, and legal requirements • Support high-voltage switching as needed • Identify, document, and communicate operational and quality improvement opportunities • Compile and analyze information to determine proactive and reactive maintenance and repair actions • Lead, assist, and work alongside technicians on operational and contractual duties • Perform on-the-job training with site technicians • Evaluate and supervise contractor repair work to return equipment to operation • Perform QA/QC inspections across the fleet and provide feedback on best practices • Manage personal travel arrangements • Work rotationally in four-week intervals away from home, returning for one week off
• High school diploma or equivalent • Minimum 2 years of wind turbine experience • Accomplished and proven troubleshooting ability • Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather • Ability to climb ladders without assistance and work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet) • Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds) • Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear during job-related tasks • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record • Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship now or in the future • GE wind turbine experience preferred • Knowledge of CMMS (EAM) preferred • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software • Proficiency with GE Toolbox ST, GE Webpages, SCADA, Visu-pro, and CMS systems preferred • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Must pass drug testing and receive a negative result before beginning work • Safety-sensitive position
