• Deliver disease state and product education regarding Ionis brands and approved indications using approved materials • Educate account nurses and office staff on the Patient Education Manager role and service model • Host patient-facing programs and deliver presentations during internal meetings and calls • Serve as a liaison to access teams and partners to address patient-specific needs • Engage with cross-functional teams and share regional and territory insights • Deliver approved education programs in person and via webinar to patients, families and caregivers • Refine patient engagement strategy and educational materials • Respond to customer inquiries, provide education and support, and triage to available resources • Complete documentation to track critical metrics • Complete required training and comply with corporate and industry policies • Share regional and local advocacy insights with Corporate Affairs teams • Identify, develop and execute a multidisciplinary team approach to support a successful launch
• Valid U.S. driver's license and driving record compliant with company standards • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college required • Advanced scientific training or academic credentials establishing strong clinical acumen • Registered Nurse required • Knowledge and experience with genetic conditions highly desirable • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders • At least 12 years of related experience, including supporting patients within Rare Disease • At least 2 years of field-based biopharmaceutical industry experience preferred • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targeted objectives • Knowledge of insurance and payer landscape and U.S. reimbursement process • Prior product launch experience preferred • Ability to work quickly and flexibly with resource constraints • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team • Strong interpersonal, communication, written and verbal skills • Ability to travel up to 30% as necessary • Ability to manage ambiguity, navigate complexity, and develop creative, solutions-oriented approaches • Passion for patient care and exceptional attention to detail for compliant operations
