📋 Description

• Contact insurance companies to obtain correct eligibility information • Perform benefit investigations and copay assistance • Check prior authorization and/or appeal status • Contact patients and/or providers to evaluate eligibility for assistance programs and adherence support • Perform outbound calls to obtain appropriate information and document accurately • Answer inbound calls and assist customers with pharmacy-related services • Maintain professional, efficient, courteous, and friendly communications • Provide prior authorizations and appeals support • Assist patients with enrollment in manufacturer and non-profit copay assistance programs • Update job knowledge through educational opportunities and training activities • Work independently and within a team to accomplish required tasks • Maintain quality results by adhering to standards, guidelines, and program KPIs • Report ADEs according to program policy and guidelines • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines • May assist with onboarding new employees

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent • Minimum one year experience in medical billing, reimbursement, insurance verification, or similar related medical office experience • Previous data entry experience (minimum three months) • Ability to type 30wpm+ • High attention to detail • Computer savvy, including navigating multiple computer tabs, monitors, and applications • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and soft phone systems (WebEx, Mitel, Shoretel, etc.) • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work in a virtual team environment and be available and responsive during working hours • Excellent follow through • Private, distraction-free workspace to adhere to HIPAA compliance/guidelines • Workspace with internet plug-in accessibility; Wi-Fi connectivity is not permitted • Must reside in the country where the job is posted
