📋 Description

• Install basic mechanical commercial food equipment and assist with more advanced installations • Maintain, diagnose, and repair basic mechanical commercial food equipment for customers • Complete and document preventative maintenance • Implement and support Hobart Service safety procedures and programs • Support branch and organizational financial objectives through quality customer experiences • Maintain current organizational, industry, and equipment knowledge • Manage assigned company assets, including vehicle, tools, and inventory • Follow safe-driving and other applicable company policies • Read and follow service manuals, inspect equipment, and maintain parts knowledge • Identify and promote sales/lead opportunities, including equipment, contract, and water-treatment leads • Perform vehicle and equipment safety inspections and report defects • Complete required safety training • Prioritize workload and concurrent projects while meeting productivity and quality standards • Provide on-site customer support with up to 50% travel • Work normal business hours with occasional or frequent extended hours, including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED • 0–2 years of electrical/mechanical experience • Fundamental mechanical and/or electrical aptitude • Some troubleshooting experience • Ability to read and interpret standard service manuals and mechanical diagrams • Understanding of basic math, measurements, and conversions • Basic knowledge of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel • Ability to read and understand safety guidelines • Ability to communicate orally with individuals inside and outside the organization • Demonstrated crisis/conflict resolution skills • Ability to self-motivate and take direction from senior technicians and management • Flexibility with schedule, including nights and/or weekends • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs • Ability to climb up to 10 ft with an A-frame ladder • Ability to operate motor vehicles, heavy equipment, machinery, and/or power tools • Position/Location dependent certificates and licenses
