📋 Description

• Develop and maintain electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring designs for complex industrial systems • Design and document power distribution, protection, grounding, and control circuits for power distribution and cooling platforms • Ensure electrical designs meet functional performance, safety, reliability, and serviceability requirements • Resolve electrical packaging and integration challenges with mechanical layouts, thermal constraints, and enclosure architectures • Execute configuration-controlled electrical designs for multiple product variants, options, and regional variations • Maintain design stability and traceability through engineering changes • Implement ECR/ECNs while preserving compliance, backward compatibility, and production continuity • Synchronize schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, BOMs, and PLM records throughout the product lifecycle • Design systems compliant with IEC, UL, regional standards, and customer specifications • Support compliance activities with documentation and responses to design findings • Develop detailed panel layouts with component placement, wire routing, and labeling • Ensure wiring designs are manufacturable, accessible, and service-friendly • Support prototype builds, production ramp-up, and manufacturing issue resolution through design updates and clarifications • Collaborate with mechanical engineering on fit, clearance, airflow, and thermal compatibility • Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and production teams on build issues, substitutions, and feedback • Participate in technical design reviews and release readiness activities • Contribute to continuous improvement of electrical CAD practices, documentation clarity, and configuration discipline • Engage with customers and supply chain partners to assess requirements, identify challenges, and design infrastructure solutions end-to-end

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline • 8+ years of hands-on electrical CAD design experience with industrial or infrastructure-class equipment • Strong proficiency in EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical and/or Edge Electrical • Demonstrated experience designing power distribution and control systems for complex, multi-variant products • Working knowledge of IEC, UL, and regional electrical compliance requirements • Ability to independently execute and own complex electrical designs with minimal oversight • Preferred: electrical design experience for power and cooling systems, switchgear, transformers, busway, PDCs, CDUs, chillers, or thermally intensive infrastructure • Preferred: experience with switchgear, control panels and industrial power systems • Preferred: background in panel layout, wire routing and electrical-mechanical integration • Preferred: familiarity with PLM systems and formal product release and change control processes • Preferred: experience supporting both NPI and sustaining engineering in production environments • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and/or internationally (rare)
