📋 Description

• Design and maintain complex mechanical assemblies using advanced parametric CAD modeling in SolidWorks and/or Creo • Develop detailed layouts and assemblies containing structural elements, enclosures, piping systems, thermal components, pumps, valves, and mounting interfaces • Ensure designs meet performance, thermal, structural, manufacturability, serviceability, and customer requirements • Resolve system-level mechanical integration challenges, including packaging constraints and interface definition • Execute configuration- and revision-controlled CAD designs for multiple product variants, options, and revisions • Maintain model stability and integrity as engineering changes are introduced • Implement engineering changes, ensuring traceability, configuration compatibility, and minimal production disruption • Align CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and PLM data across lifecycle stages • Produce and maintain production-ready manufacturing drawings with GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, materials, finishes, and inspection requirements • Design parts and assemblies for DFM/DFA, fabrication, welding, machining, and final assembly • Support prototype builds, pilot production, and manufacturing issue resolution through design updates and documentation corrections • Ensure designs support repeatable, high-yield manufacturing across sites, suppliers, and production volumes • Coordinate mechanical-electrical interfaces, routing paths, and packaging clearances with electrical engineering • Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and production teams on build issues, component changes, and feedback • Provide technical input during design reviews, release-readiness assessments, and product change discussions • Contribute to CAD standards, modeling practices, and documentation quality • Engage with customers and supply chain partners to assess requirements, identify challenges, and design infrastructure solutions end-to-end

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience • 8+ years of hands-on mechanical CAD design experience with complex, multi-component assemblies • Expert proficiency in Creo and/or SolidWorks, including advanced parametric modeling methodologies • Strong command of GD&T, tolerancing, and manufacturing documentation • Proven experience executing configuration-controlled designs across multiple product variants and lifecycle phases • Ability to independently own complex technical work with minimal oversight • Preferred: power and cooling system experience, including switchgear, PDC, UPS, Busway, chillers, CDUs, liquid cooling platforms, or thermal management systems • Preferred: experience with fluid systems design, including piping, fittings, valves, pumps, filters, and heat exchangers • Preferred: background in industrial, infrastructure, or data center class equipment • Preferred: familiarity with PLM systems and formal product release and change processes • Preferred: experience supporting NPI and sustaining engineering in production environments • Senior-level hands-on CAD execution • High technical rigor and attention to detail • Strong configuration and documentation discipline • Systems-level mechanical problem solving • Ability to operate in fast-paced, change-driven engineering environments
