📋 Description

• Manage workstreams within client and internal projects involving procurement-related operational and opportunity assessments, strategic sourcing, category management, spend assessments, and procurement and supply chain consulting • Engage directly with clients on procurement and supply chain initiatives to improve efficiency, drive effectiveness, influence spending, and deliver value • Manage and support client project workstreams, including supply chain and procurement assessments, category management and strategic sourcing, procurement strategy roadmaps and capability development, and scenario modeling and analytics • Support internal firm-building initiatives including scoping, market and supplier research, RFx development, management and evaluation, supplier evaluation and selection, negotiations, operational improvement and innovation • Contribute to business development and practice development through knowledge capital, proposals, and RFP responses • Perform benchmarking and client research • Support employee development • Manage resources, clients, and internal projects • Lead teams of consultants, analysts, and other staff members overseeing client support and services

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with a consulting firm • 6+ years of experience in procurement, either consulting or as a practitioner • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent from a top-tier school or a school with a well-recognized procurement or supply chain program • 3+ years of experience managing direct reports and directing project teams • Proven track record of managing consulting projects to successful outcomes, including working with ambiguity and unclear requirements • Demonstrated ability to manage engagement teams supporting strategic cost reduction initiatives, including opportunity assessment, sourcing strategy development and execution, and supplier performance management • Demonstrated ability to personally manage clients through typical strategic procurement initiatives, including sourcing opportunity assessment, functional procurement assessment, strategic sourcing, RFx development, proposal assessments, contracting, supplier performance program development, and organizational transformation • Demonstrated ability to manage advisory engagements through all stages, from proposal and contract development through final delivery, resolving problems, mitigating delays, and escalating issues appropriately • Expert-level skills with financial assessments, data assessments, MS Excel including pivot tables, creating charts and graphs, and creating MS PowerPoint presentations • Ability to travel to client sites on an as-needed basis
