• Create technical documentation, including rack assembly instructions, 2D mechanical drawings, test reports, SOPs, and customer-facing specifications • Translate complex power electronics designs into manufacturable products with manufacturing, quality, and operations teams • Lead training, process development, production readiness reviews, and factory enablement for high-volume production • Develop and maintain BOMs, specifications, test plans, cable BOMs, alternate sourcing strategies, and ECOs • Assemble, fit-check, and mechanically integrate complex rack systems, including liquid loop components, quick-disconnects, manifolds, and power distribution • Specify and validate rack-level power architecture, including PDU selection, power budgets, load balancing, and global plug and connector compatibility • Participate in customer engagements and site visits to understand deployment constraints and gather design feedback • Create CAD models and fabrication drawings for weldments, sheet metal, and machined parts • Manage relationships with mechanical component vendors and suppliers • Perform advanced FEA structural analysis under static, dynamic, seismic, and thermal loads • Lead mechanical design reviews and cross-functional design validation • Drive design-for-manufacturability, cost reduction, and performance optimization • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for mechanical failures and field issues • Collaborate with compliance and certification teams to meet global regulatory requirements • Establish long-term design standards, documentation, and best practices for engineering teams • Coach and mentor less experienced engineers • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field is required • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in mechanical systems integration • Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo/Pro-E, or Inventor • Proficiency in FEA software such as ANSYS or Abaqus • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, integration strategies, and program management • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight • Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural guides • Ability to present information and respond to management, clients, and public queries • Ability to assess projects, articulate risks, and develop project milestones • Familiarity with stage-gate processes in project lifecycle management • Ability to coach and mentor less experienced engineers • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% • Experience supporting product commercialization and customer engagements preferred • Experience designing electrical power systems for data centers, telecom, or industrial power/cooling products preferred • Liquid cooling experience within racks, servers, and/or CDUs preferred • Hands-on experience with prototype fabrication and testing • Knowledge of fluid dynamics, pressure drop calculations, and pipe sizing for glycol-based systems • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required
